Hi! I’m Maggie.
I started Bodega because I am passionate about accessibility to fresh, whole foods. If you’re anything like me, that starts with having basic produce on hand. And that’s where it gets dicey. I found myself opening the cabinet and not having the onions I needed or opening the fridge to find a massive box of spinach practically melted.
Food is an essential part of thriving. It can be an art and it can be enjoyed. When I was living in Colombia, I understood the effect that fresh, accessible foods had on my enjoyment of creating dishes. And the more I enjoyed, the more I shared with the people I loved, building friendships at the table, over meals. It all went back to food.
Some of the things that limit people from eating well are cost, habits, and time - but I believe everyone should have the opportunity to experience the difference fresh basics in your home can make.
I started Bodega because I want to make the idea of fresh basics accessible for everyone. With the right price, right quantity, and right frequency - fresh food can be an incredible part of helping you thrive.
